A Product Inspired by Tragedy

Earlier this year, I designed Boss Marine Products Shopify website and worked with a pretty amazing client. I guess I must have done a pretty good job because he referred me to Scott Levin and Scott Myers to help them build their Shopify website for a new product they were launching.

I spoke with the Scott's and knew immediately that this was going to be a very special build. It took everything for me to hold back my tears while we talked and I knew that I had to make this happen for them. I wanted to be a part of this!

Scott Myers and Scott Levin and of course Victor

On September 14, 2018, one of the most horrific crimes took place on US soil, the mass shooting at Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Unless you were there or God forbid, have experienced something similar, there's no way for us to even begin to understand what it must have been like and certainly  not from a first responders perspective. First responders have to make decisions in the blink of an eye.

Scott Myers of the Coral Springs Police Department was one of the first on the scene that tragic day. He had to make an immediate decision about whether or not to take the time to get his SWAT rifle out of the trunk or to run in with only his handgun into an unknown situation. Knowing that every second counted, he grabbed his handgun and went into the school.

After that tragic day, Scott M knew there had to be a better way. He and his partner Scott L designed, refined and manufacturer the patent-pending SCOTTLOCK™   a portable security system for the AR15, to keep the AR15 safe and secure and yet accessible within seconds for law enforcement.

One of my favorite quotes is "Be the change that you wish to see in the world" by Ghandi. I can think of no better example than Scott Levin and Scott Myers and their invention, the SCOTTLOCK™ .

I wish them all the best and I am truly blessed to have been able to work with them on this project and to get to know them both... what an honor!

You can read more about Scott Levin and Scott Myers (and even check out a couple of pics of Victor, Scott L's K9 partner) on SCOTTLOCK™

If you know someone in law enforcement, please share  SCOTTLOCK™ with them. Because every second does count... and we're counting on them.
